Ingredients of Dal Dhokli

  1. Prepare of Dal section.
  2. It's 1/2 cup of toor dal.
  3. It's 1/4 cup of peanut (if you like peanut increase the quantity).
  4. It's 1 tsp of oil.
  5. It's 1/2 tsp of salt.
  6. It's 2-3 tsp of ghee.
  7. Prepare Handful of curry leafs.
  8. It's 2 of green chillies slit.
  9. Prepare 1 tsp of cumin seeds.
  10. Prepare 1 tsp of mustard seeds.
  11. You need 1/4 of Or 1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida (depends on hing quality).
  12. Prepare 2 of tomatoes chopped.
  13. It's 1 tsp of coriander powder.
  14. You need 1 tsp of red chilli powder.
  15. Prepare 3/4 tsp of kashmiri lal mirch.
  16. You need 1/4 of garam masala (optional).
  17. It's 1/2 tsp of cumin powder.
  18. Prepare 1/2 of turmeric powder.
  19. It's 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste.
  20. Prepare 1 inch of pc of jaggery.
  21. You need 1 of big lemon.
  22. You need of Salt as per taste.
  23. You need as needed of Water.
  24. You need of Dhokli.
  25. You need 1 cup of wheat flour.
  26. It's 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder.
  27. You need 1/2 tsp of red chilli powder.
  28. Prepare 1/4 tsp of ajwain/carom seeds.
  29. Prepare 1/2 tsp of salt.
  30. You need 2 tsp of oil.
  31. You need of Water as needed (mostly 1/2 cup).
  32. Prepare of Garnishing.
  33. Prepare 1 of Onion Chopped.
  34. Prepare 1 of Tomato Chopped.
  35. Prepare Handful of Coriander Leafs.

Dal Dhokli instructions

  1. Firstly wash toor dal nicely, boil toor dal add by adding 1tsp oil, little salt. In same cooker place bowl add peanut and keep for 5 whistles..
  2. Once dal is cooked, then take a pan add 2-3 tsp ghee and once ghee is hot add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, green chilli,and curry leafs. Further add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and saute until tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  3. Now add in cooked dal, one and half cup of water and mix well adjusting consistency as required. Now add turmeric powder, chilli powder, kashmiri lal mirchi powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and garam masala. (Add more water as per your desire consistency).
  4. Now add cooked peanuts, small piece jaggery, salt and lemon juice. And boil it for 4-5 minutes..
  5. Now mix dhokli ingredients and make soft dough..
  6. Roll them same as chapati..
  7. I just roasted them for few seconds to remove raw smell. (This step is completely optional) I was preparing for the first time so just thought of this idea..
  8. Now cut them and drop it in dal. And boil for 8-10 minutes..
  9. Garnish with chopped onion, tomatoes and coriander.. Enjoy your hot hot Dal Dhokli!!!.
